The Curious Child

A child is always a curious being … be it the mother’s bindi, father’s pen or the little crawling insect on the floor … he is always interested in knowing more. As the child grows up from his mother’s lap and walks around, he observes many “strange” things and wants to know more. He touches, tastes, hits, hugs to know more and learn more. Of all these things, water always fascinates a child. The rains, and the puddles of the monsoon season are always a great delight to him. This picture shows a curious lad enjoying the first showers of the season by drenching himself to the skin. The mirth and joy on his face shows how much he is enjoying the moment with gay abandon. The sun shining on him through the rain shows the energy of the child and the beauty of the rain.
