The mission is to develop a musical community that seeks to build their musicality, inspire and be inspired, without the boundaries of gharanas or schools.

Abhyutthaan (formerly known as Rising Stars):
Pandit Jasraj Institute seeks the involvement of all the area music schools and organizations in effort to provide a pathway for serious students of Hindustani vocal while providing inspiration to aspiring students and to developing an audience for the same.
Abhyutthaan has been in existence since 2019. Each year, local schools are solicited to submit up to two nominees. Individuals can also nominate themselves if they are learning online or their Guru is not in the tri-state area. Once nominated, the nominees are required to submit a 10 minute video or audio of their singing and a panel of three judges rate the nominees. The judges' scores are tallied and the top four are given a chance to perform.
