As part of our "Artstanding" initiative in which we showcase upcoming artists, we proudly present an Indian Classical Dance concert, presented by the students of Natya Hasta School of Dance and Music and Shiva Jyothi Dance Academy.
Natya Hasta School of Dance and Music, based in Ohio is an ethnic Indian cultural space that celebrates the visual and cerebral appeal of world culture. The school aims to invoke a more global perspective in study of music and rhythm.

The aim of the Shiva Jyothi Dance Academy, based in New York and New Jersey is to revive, and propagate the enriched art of Bharatanatyam in New York and New Jersey. The syllabus at the institute includes theory and practical knowledge. Bharatha Natyam is based on the Natya Veda and therefore, theory will be taught in the form of slokams with the provision of meaning.
