Welcome to "RISING STARS - 2023". It is an annual event that showcases upcoming Hindustani Vocalists from schools from across the United States. The event is brought to you by the Indian Academy of Performing Arts (IAPA).

Indian Academy of Performing Arts was formed with a mission to provide for the development and appreciation of Indian Classical Music, Dance and Drama in United States by promoting performances of these Arts. IAPA organizes concerts of visiting artists from India in the local area, especially encouraging young and upcoming artists.
About Rising Stars:
Rising Stars is an endeavor designed to bring together senior students of Hindustani vocal music from all schools in the tri-state area and to give them a forum to perform, listen and derive inspiration from each other. The mission is to develop a musical community that seeks to build their musicality, inspire and be inspired, without the boundaries of gharanas or schools.
Rising Stars has been in existence since 2019. Each year, local schools are solicited to submit up to two nominees. Individuals can also nominate themselves if they are learning online or their Guru is not in the tri-state area. Once nominated, the nominees are required to submit a 15 minute video of their singing and a panel of three judges rate the nominees. The judges' scores are tallied and the top three are given a chance to perform.
2022:
Judges: Smt. Pradnya Jhadav, Shri Radharaman Kirtane and Shri Hemant Kulkarni.
Performers: Aarushi Mehta (Guru: Vidushi Mitali Banerjee Bhawmik), Anindita Roy (Guru: Padmashree Pta. Tripti Mukherjee), Maitreyi Mehta (Guru: Vidushi Mitali Banerjee Bhawmik)
2021:
Judges: Shri Sanjoy Banerjee, Smt Rucha Jambekar and Pandita Tripti Mukherjee
Performers – Devanshi Pandya (Guru: Samarth Nagarkar); Navaneeth Unnikrishnan (Guru: Ramesh Narayan) and Samyukta Ranganatha (Guru: Sanjoy Banerjee)
