Artist statement:
“A person experiences life as something separated from the rest – a kind of optical delusion of consciousness. Our task must be to free ourselves from this self-imposed prison, and through compassion, find the reality of oneness.” Einstein. My newest body of work consists of mixed media drawings and paintings wherein the human heart symbolizes humanity, body and soul; and the human brain represents the One consciousness of us all. The various forms and colors are interpretations of bindu (Hindu), a dot representing the point from which all things emerged, the creation of something from nothing; and from a variety of readings in spiritual literature. I also build assemblage sculpture, combining traditional media with recycled objects which are sometimes paired with my paintings. My work is exhibited throughout the tri-state area and is in numerous collections. Through The Arts Council of Princeton, I teach a zoom class called Art Quest, helping other artists discover their true expressions through paint, collage and mixed media.

About Visual Perspectives:It is an initiative by
Vibrnz to help art enthusiasts and people in general develop an appreciation for visual arts. The visual arts include art forms such as painting, drawing, arts & crafts, photography and more. COVID had a devastating impact on this space. On a positive note, many artists and arts organizations adapted themselves to the new digital world to minimize the impact.
We are very excited to organize a series of interviews, complemented by classes, workshops and showcasing by artists across diverse genres. The series is hosted by
Spriha Gupta, a professional artist who is excited to be part of this initiative and make an attempt to reduce the gap between the artists and the art enthusiasts.
If you would like to be part of this initiative or have a question, please email us at info@vibrnz.com or submit this form.
