Summary
Abhik Mukherjee hails from the great Etawah-Imdadkhani gharana of sitar and surbahar and is a rising talent among the younger generation. He was initiated into sitar at the age of six. He made his first stage performance at the Governor’s House, Kolkata, at the age of nine and has been performing ever since.

Abhik is a disciple of the Imdadkhani Gharana which has also nutured such artists as Ustad Vilyat Khan, Ustad Shahid Pervez, Ustad Shujaat Khan, Pandit Budhaditya Mukherjee, and his gurus Pandit Arvind Parikhji and Pandit Kashinath Mukherjee.
