I have been learning North Indian Hindustani classical vocal music since February of 2010 from my Guru Smt. Mitali Bhawmik. I've performed in venues such as Drive East in NYC in 2017, Chhandayan Music Center in NYC multiple times since 2010, Sangeet Jagat Music Institute in 2016, North American Bengali Conference in 2016, and many more. I've also achieved the Chhandayan Jyotsna Award for Outstanding Student of Indian Classical Music in 2014.
Indian folk singing
I've been singing Bengali folk songs and devotional songs since I began learning Hindustani classical music. I've sung a variety of bhajans, Nazrul geetis, Rabindra Sangeets, and many other types of Bengali and Hindi songs in different venues since 2010.
Auditioned successfully and made the top 4 in the Pandit Jasraj Institute of Music Vocal Music Competition. I performed Raag Brindavani Sarang followed by two bhajans after the other three finalists' performances on June 15, 2019.
Won the NABC Idol competition in Baltimore, Maryland in 2011 as an 11 year-old singing contemporary Bengali songs. Competed against teenage and adult singers after auditioning to represent New Jersey in the competition two months prior.
