The event boasts the presence of the legendary 'Divine Trio' - Janab Hassan Haider Khan, the grandson of the illustrious Shehnai maestro, Ustad Bismillah Khan, alongside the eminent Sitar virtuoso, Vidushi Mitag Nag. Adding to this already awe-inspiring lineup is the Grammy Nominee Pandit Subhen Chatterjee, whose exceptional talents as a percussionist will leave you spellbound.
In 2014, Indian Rhythms was conceived to foster engagement between Indian American high school students and at-risk children from the Cincinnati Public School System. Over time, its objectives have expanded to address a more significant issue: aiding corporate America in retaining highly skilled labor in Cincinnati. The Cincinnati-Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) has been losing over 50% of its young population, aged 18-35, to larger cities such as New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Houston. Talented Indian Americans possessing high skills cannot consider the MSA their home due to the lack of opportunities for personal growth in the arts and related fields.
Dr. Pratibha Phadke (A3P Connections) and Anupama Mirle (NSPA) have united their efforts to make a significant impact. They are seeking your collaboration to transform the Cincinnati-Dayton-Columbus corridor into a more entrepreneur-friendly environment for the arts. Their vision entails providing extraordinary opportunities through visiting artist performances, workshops, and a platform to showcase the immense talent within our region through high-quality local performances.
